Claus Duedal Pederson

 

Claus Duedal Pedersen graduated from University of Southern Denmark with a master degree in economics. Claus is the director of the Sentinel Unit in Sundhed.dk – the national Danish healthcare portal for the citizens. He is in charge of the development and implementation of a national quality and research infrastructure for specialist practice.

Before that he was Chief Innovation Officer of the Centre for Innovative Medical Technology at OUH Odense University Hospital. In the hospital, he was for 10 years in charge of CIMT (Centre for Innovative Medical Technology) a joint research center between OUH and the University of Southern Denmark. In this position he was charge of development, testing and implementation of telemedicine and eHealth solutions in a wide range of areas within the hospital.

Many of the solutions have been developed in EU projects and have been evaluated at large scale and in RCTs as part of the EU project Renewing Health. Claus was project manager of the Methotelemed project that developed the MAST evaluation model for telemedicine solutions and the MasterMind project which implemented online services for depression treatment on a European scale. Claus was also the coordinator of the ImpleMentAll project.
